Lady Chargers Defeat Southern Union State, Improve to 11-5-1
The Columbia State Lady Chargers traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, for a neutral-site matchup against Southern Union State and came away with a 4-2 victory. The win brings their overall record to 11-5-1 on the season.
Scarlett Derrett and Aubrie Bollenberg each tallied a goal and an assist in the win. Addison Alexander and Darla Shinton also found the back of the net, while Eva Galloway and Lillian Gardner each contributed an assist. Goalkeeper Rory Burgess recorded 11 saves to help secure the victory.
The Lady Chargers return home for their final regular season match on Sunday, October 19, when they host Southwestern Illinois College at Ridley Park. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Admission is $7 per person or free with a Columbia State ID.
This game marks the final tune-up before the TCCAA Tournament, which begins October 26.
