Lady Chargers Edge Southwest Tennessee with Second-Half Goal
The Lady Chargers hit the road again Thursday night, traveling to Memphis to face Southwest Tennessee Community College. After a hard-fought battle, the Chargers came away with a 1-0 victory.
The game's lone goal came in the 70th minute when freshman Aubrie Bollenberg found the back of the net, assisted by Lillian Gardner. The goal marked Bollenberg's fifth of the season and proved to be the difference in the contest.
With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in TCCAA play.
After eight straight games on the road, the Chargers will finally return home on Sunday, September 21, when they host the Dyersburg State Lady Eagles in a key conference matchup.
