Lady Chargers Fall in Tough Road Match
The Lady Chargers traveled to Knoxville on Sunday to face Pellissippi State in TCCAA action, battling through a fast-paced and physical contest. The Lady Panthers came away with a 2-1 victory.
Pellissippi State struck early with goals from Eva Greenwald in the 19th minute and Cassidy Church in the 28th. The Lady Chargers responded in the 56th minute when Eva Galloway found the back of the net, assisted by Scarlett Derrett. Despite several strong chances late, the Lady Panthers' defense held firm to secure the win.
The goal marked Galloway's seventh of the season in just six games, while Derrett notched her third assist. With the loss, the Lady Chargers move to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Columbia State will be back on the road Thursday, September 11, when they travel to take on Chattanooga State.
