Lady Chargers Battle No. 6 Walters State on the Road
The Lady Chargers Basketball team traveled east for a marquee TCCAA matchup against Walters State CC, ranked No. 6 in the nation. Despite a strong effort against one of the conference's top teams, the Lady Chargers fell 80–58.
Sophomore Lily Melton delivered a standout performance, leading CSCC scorers with 27 points while adding 11 rebounds, two blocks, and one steal for a dominant all-around showing. Fellow sophomore Niana Hill chipped in 11 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while freshman Kelsey Keiler posted an impressive double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers move to 13–11 overall and 12–6 in TCCAA play as the regular season winds down. The Chargers will look to finish strong as they hit the road again to face Southwest Tennessee CC on Wednesday, February 25, in another critical conference contest.
Only two regular-season games remain for the Lady Chargers in the 2025–26 campaign as they prepare for postseason play. The TCCAA Region 7 Basketball Tournament is set for March 6–10 at Volunteer State, where the Lady Chargers will look to make a deep run.
