Lady Chargers Defeat Southwest Tennessee 78–54
The Columbia State Lady Chargers earned a convincing 78–54 victory over the Lady Saluqis of Southwest Tennessee Community College on Wednesday night in TCCAA conference play.
Sophomore Lily Melton led the way for the Lady Chargers with an outstanding all-around performance, finishing with 32 points, 12 rebounds, four steals, and one block. Melton's dominant night powered Columbia State on both ends of the floor.
Freshman Kelsey Keiler continued her strong play, recording a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while also adding six assists and two blocks. Sophomore Niana Hill also contributed a double-double, posting 10 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals in the conference win.
With the victory, the Lady Chargers improve to 7–8 overall and 6–3 in TCCAA conference play.
Columbia State will return to action on the road this Saturday, January 17, traveling to Chattanooga State to face the Lady Tigers in another important TCCAA matchup.
