Lady Chargers Fall on the Road at Meridian
The Columbia State Lady Chargers traveled to Meridian, Mississippi on Monday afternoon to take on the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles but came up short in a 70–60 loss.
Despite the setback, the Lady Chargers had strong individual performances throughout the night. Sophomore Kelsey Keiler led the way with a dominant double-double, finishing with 15 points, 17 rebounds, and two steals. Freshman Emma Sharp continued her strong play, contributing 13 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Sophomore Lily Melton added 10 points, nine rebounds, and three steals, narrowly missing a double-double of her own.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers move to 6–6 overall on the season.
Columbia State will be back on the road Thursday as they travel to Wallace State to face the No. 13-ranked Lady Tigers. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
