Lady Chargers Edge Roane State in Thrilling 57–56 Victory
The Lady Chargers hit the road on Saturday for a TCCAA matchup against Roane State and came away with a heart-stopping 57–56 win. Columbia State battled from start to finish, securing the one-point victory in one of the closest games of the season.
Sophomore Lily Melton led the charge with a standout performance, posting 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 steals to lift the Lady Chargers on both ends of the court. Fellow sophomore Niana Hill continued her strong season with 12 points, 13 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks, making an impact in every statistical category.
Freshman Malaya Woullard contributed 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, while freshman Emma Sharp added 10 points and 3 steals to round out a balanced and efficient offensive effort.
With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 5-5 overall and 5-2 in TCCAA play.
Columbia State will be back on the road Friday, December 12, as they take on the Trevecca University JV team.
