Lady Chargers Fall on the Road to Jackson State
The Lady Chargers hit the road Wednesday night for a TCCAA matchup against the Jackson State Green Jays. Despite a strong individual performance, Columbia State came up short, falling 73–51. The loss moves the Lady Chargers to a 1–5 overall record and 1–3 in TCCAA play.
Sophomore Lily Melton turned in a standout night, recording a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds, continuing to be a key leader on both ends of the floor. Freshman Kelsey Keiler added 12 points, providing an offensive spark for the Chargers.
Columbia State now turns its attention to a home contest this weekend. The Lady Chargers will host the Cleveland State Lady Cougars at Webster Athletic Center on Saturday, November 22 at 2 p.m.
