Lady Chargers Fall in TCCAA Opener to Motlow State
The Columbia State Lady Chargers hosted the Motlow State Lady Bucks on Saturday, November 8, at Webster Athletic Center for their first TCCAA conference matchup of the season. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Lady Chargers came up short, falling 73–69. The loss moves Columbia State to 0–3 overall and 0–1 in conference play.
Sophomore Lily Melton led all scorers with an impressive 27 points, adding 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Freshman Emma Sharp contributed 15 points, along with 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Freshman Kelsey Keiler recorded a double-double, finishing with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists for the Lady Chargers.
The Lady Chargers will return to Webster Athletic Center this Wednesday, November 12, for another TCCAA matchup against the Volunteer State Lady Pioneers.
