Lady Chargers Fall in TCCAA Road Doubleheader
The Lady Chargers softball team traveled to Chattanooga State for a TCCAA doubleheader but came up short in both contests.
In game one, the Lady Chargers fell 15-0. Offensively, the team managed three hits, led by Bella Birdsong who went 2-for-3 at the plate. Mycah Price added the other hit, finishing 1-for-2. In the circle, the Lady Chargers pitching staff allowed 13 hits and nine earned runs while recording two strikeouts.
Game two saw a similar outcome, with the Lady Chargers dropping an 8-0 decision. The offense was limited to just two hits, coming from Haley Gamblin and Summer Alsup.
Gamblin also got the start in the circle in game two, pitching four innings. She allowed 11 hits and five earned runs while striking out one.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back as they return to conference play on Friday, April 3, when they travel to Dyersburg State for another TCCAA doubleheader.
