Lady Chargers Drop Doubleheader at Bevill State
The Lady Chargers softball team traveled to Bevill State on Saturday for a doubleheader but came up short in both contests.
In game one, the Lady Chargers fell 15–3. Sophomore Haley Gamblin led the offense, going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs. Bella Birdsong, Anna-Leigh Ross, and Hazelyn Minton each contributed hits as the Lady Chargers totaled five hits in the game. Emily Copley took the loss in the circle.
Offense was limited in game two, as the Lady Chargers managed just two hits in the contest. Bella Birdsong and Jaides Parrish accounted for the hits. Anna Groenewoud took the loss in the circle.
The Lady Chargers will return to action on Wednesday, February 11, when they host Gadsden State in their home opener. The doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Eddie Campbell Field.
