Lady Chargers Fall in Doubleheader at Dyersburg State
The Lady Chargers softball team hit the road to face Dyersburg State in a TCCAA doubleheader but came up short in both contests.
In game one, the Lady Chargers were shut out 14-0. Jaylee Warren took the circle, allowing 10 hits and 7 earned runs while striking out one. Offensively, the Chargers struggled to gain momentum, collecting just five hits. Bella Birdsong led the way, going 2-for-2 at the plate. Mycah Price, Jaylee Warren, and Christina Juarez each added a hit.
Game two ended in a 9-0 loss. Christina Juarez was 1-for-2 with a double, while Chloe West, Abigail Brown, and Reagan Burleson each recorded a hit. Juarez also pitched four innings, surrendering 11 hits and 7 earned runs.
The Lady Chargers return home for their final regular season doubleheader on Friday, April 25, against Motlow State at Eddie Campbell Field. Sophomores will be honored during the games. Stay tuned for possible schedule changes due to inclement weather.
