Chargers Roll Past Roane State in TCCAA Action
The Columbia State Chargers put together a dominant all-around performance on Saturday, Feb. 14, defeating the Roane State Raiders 82–42 at The Web in a TCCAA conference matchup.
The Chargers used balanced scoring and stifling defense to take control early and never looked back. Freshman Tyren Fisher led the scoring effort with 11 points while also contributing three assists and a steal. Fellow freshman De'Costa Ricks added 10 points and four rebounds, and sophomore Kenny Ellis chipped in nine points to help pace the Chargers' offense.
Columbia State's defensive pressure limited Roane State's scoring opportunities throughout the game, allowing the Chargers to build a comfortable lead and maintain momentum through all four quarters.
With the win, the Chargers improve to 22–4 overall and 15–1 in TCCAA play, continuing an impressive run through conference competition.
