Chargers Roll Past Pellissippi State at The Web
The Chargers welcomed the Panthers of Pellissippi State to the Webster Athletic Center on Monday afternoon for a TCCAA matchup and delivered a dominant 73–53 victory.
Columbia State set the tone early and never looked back, building an impressive 30-point lead at halftime while controlling the pace on both ends of the floor.
Freshman Sam Parson led the Chargers with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Sophomore Jamison Glass followed with 14 points and 2 rebounds, helping fuel the Chargers' balanced offensive effort.
The Chargers' strong defensive pressure and efficient scoring kept Pellissippi State at bay throughout the contest as Columbia State cruised to the conference win.
With the victory, the Chargers improve to 20–4 overall and 13–1 in TCCAA play.
Columbia State will be back on the road on Wednesday, Feb. 11, traveling to Dyersburg State for another TCCAA showdown. Tipoff against the Eagles is set for 7:30 p.m.
