Chargers Fall to No. 16 Walters State in TCCAA Matchup
The Columbia State Chargers took on No. 16-ranked Walters State on Saturday at The Web in a TCCAA showdown. The Senators came away with an 87–59 victory in a physical and competitive contest.
Despite the final score, the Chargers continued to battle against one of the nation's top-ranked teams. Sophomore Jamison Glass led Columbia State with 12 points, adding seven rebounds, one block, and one steal. Freshman Tyren Fisher also reached double figures, finishing with 10 points, along with four rebounds and two assists.
Additional scoring came from the sophomore duo of Kenny Ellis, who contributed nine points, and Arnez Anderson, who added eight points. Freshman Nate Malosa chipped in eight points and pulled down seven rebounds to round out the Chargers' offensive effort.
Following the game, the Chargers move to 14–4 overall and remain strong in conference play at 7–1 in TCCAA action.
Columbia State will return to The Web on Wednesday, January 14, when they host Southwest Tennessee Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
