Chargers Compete at Vincennes Kiwanis Classic
The Columbia State Chargers traveled to Vincennes University over the weekend to compete in the annual Kiwanis Classic. The Chargers battled hard but came up short in both contests.
On Friday, October 31, Columbia State faced Lincoln Trail College, falling 82-73 in a competitive matchup. Arnez Anderson led the way with 16 points and 2 assists. Freshman Tyren Fisher added 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals, while sophomore Jamison Glass contributed 12 points and 7 rebounds. Taveon Comage also reached double figures with 10 points and 3 rebounds.
In Saturday's contest, the Chargers took on the host team and NJCAA No. 4–ranked Vincennes University Trail Blazers, but fell 81-68. Fisher continued his strong weekend performance with 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Kenneth Ellis provided a spark with 12 points and an impressive 6 steals, and Comage added 11 points.
The Chargers will look to bounce back at home on Wednesday, November 5, when they host Bryan College JV at 5:30 p.m. in Webster Athletic Center.
