Chargers Baseball Season Ends in Elimination Game vs. Southwest Tennessee
The Chargers' baseball season came to a close yesterday with a hard-fought 10–7 loss to Southwest Tennessee in an elimination game. Despite taking the lead in the fifth inning, the Chargers were unable to hold off the Saluqis, who surged back with a four-run seventh inning to reclaim the lead and ultimately secure the win.
Starting pitcher Owen Wilson delivered a solid outing, going six innings while allowing eight hits, three earned runs, and striking out four.
At the plate, the Chargers put up a strong offensive effort with 11 total hits. Brady Hendrix led the way, going 2-for-2, while Cade Hitson and Camden Vaughn each went 2-for-5. Additional hits came from Hutson Miles, Michael McClellan, Clint Seymore, Tyler Jenkins, and Derek Valentin-Luciano.
With the loss, the Chargers conclude their season with an overall record of 28–26.
